Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to let our true selves be seen. Authenticity requires vulnerability, transparency, and integrity. Shine with all you have. When someone tries to blow you out, just take their oxygen and burn brighter. Authenticity is not needing external approval to feel good about your actions. Be fearlessly authentic. Being fake and being polite with people are two different things. By being yourself you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before. Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are. Be yourself. Authenticity is way better the ‘cool’ every time. Don’t trade your authenticity for approval. Live authentically. Why would you continue to compromise something that’s beautiful to create something that is fake? It’s sad that some people get judged for being real, while others get loved for being fake.
